Get the best rate from licensed BDCs near you
We list bureaux de change (BDCs) once we’ve checked their CBN licence. You exchange at their branch.
We open city by city — we’ll tell you when yours opens.

CBN buying and CBN selling are the CBN’s own rates, either side of central — not what a BDC will charge you or pay you. What the three rates mean
Published by the Central Bank of Nigeria at cbn.gov.ng for . We received them on .
- Only CBN-licensed BDCs can send rates
- Free for customers
- You pay the BDC directly — we never hold your money
How an exchange works
Every rate comes from a licensed business, and the money only ever moves between you and the BDC.
Step 1: Say what you need
Buy or sell, which currency, how much and where. It takes about a minute.
Step 2: Licensed BDCs send rates
Only BDCs whose CBN licence we’ve checked, and who serve your area, can reply. Each reply shows what you’d pay or get in naira, and how long the rate is held.
Step 3: Compare and choose
Best rate for you first, side by side. Nothing is owed until you choose one.
Step 4: Meet at the branch
Agree a time in messages, then go to the BDC’s licensed branch — never the street or a “meet-up” spot.
Step 5: Pay the BDC directly
Cash at the counter, or a transfer to the business’s own account while you’re there.
Trust Aboki never holds or moves your money.
What “verified” means
What we check
- A BDC’s licence, against the CBN’s published list
- That it covers the state the BDC serves
- Every licence again, each year
What “verified” doesn’t mean
- Not an endorsement by the CBN or any regulator
- Not a promise of a rate or of good service
- Not just an uploaded document
Change money safely
- Only pay at the branch, and never share your PIN or OTP
- Payment screenshots can be faked: check your own bank app
